Warwickshire Barn Phase 1

This project came in two phases for us.  The first phase was completed when Nicole was freelancing for another company, helping them out with design and project management.  And we are very grateful as our client has given us permission to photograph the first phase and include in with phase two.

Phase one included some of the main rooms on the ground floor including the snug, garden room, sitting room and hallway.  We had pieces we had to work with, an existing sofa in both the sitting room and snug, a lovely leather armchair made especially for our client, tartan blinds and curtains in the snug and the flagstone floors were staying along with carpets our client wanted to retain.

The snug required a media unit, which was designed to suit their requirements and the sofa and footstool in the garden room were all designed to work with their young family in mind.  Practical yet good design.  The joinery unit in the garden room was design to draw your eye down to the end but not make the room feel so long.  We achieved this by having a pale colour on the joinery but added the dark blue to the back wall to bring it forward.  We then had the opportunity to display new objet d’art and our clients own items on this wonderfully useful piece of furniture.
